Level 2 - Those with at least one year of belly dance experience, but not necessarily tribal
Level 3 - For experienced tribal dancers who hope to improve technique and to push and challenge themselves

Tribal Basics 1 Tribal Warm Up Yoga

An introduction to some basic core tribal moves as used by Gypsy Caravan and Barefoot Bellydance.

Suitable for complete beginners, those with little or no Tribal experience, and those who want to improve and perfect their technique.

Zil Drill African Tribal Basics 2
Awalim Louisa Thomsen Steffi
This workshop begins with drills to connect feet, hands and arm movements together while playing zils. These drills are useful to integrate into classes.

After we are warmed up we will go through an innovative breakdown of rhythms to build improvisational skills. Dance combos will be combined with zils.

This workshop will be challenging in endurance and complexity but all students will be amazed at their zil playing at the end of the workshop.

Follows on from Basics 1 so you will get more out of the workshop if you attend both.

Dramatic Spins Fat Chance Style Fast Moves and Combinations Combinations and Variations
Awalim Sarah - Kismet Steffi
Level changes and floor work while balancing props.

The workshop begins with exercises to help stretch and tone so that level changes and floor work can be done smoothly in order to balance objects.

Students will balance objects while going through sitting, rolling and travelling moves.

Students must wear pants they can do yoga in and bring a basket, sword or cane to balance. 

In this workshop we will break down several basic fast movements and techniques from the FatChance BellyDance ATS vocabulary and put them into some fun combinations for you to take away and include in your dance.

Suitable for all levels of dancer, including those new to ATS.

Bring zils if you have them. 

In this workshop Steffi will teach 32, 64 and more count combinations which you can use in your dance.

Some will be those used by Gypsy Caravan and some will be Barefoot's own.

Bring zils if you wish.

Sword Duet Zehara Urban Gypsy Tribal Props for Beginners
Awalim Zehara and Urban Gypsies Steffi
Awalim's totally innovative approach to dancing in pairs with the sword.

This workshop can include floorwork or not. 

A flamboyant and distinctive style of tribal belly dance.

Zehara's main influence is African dance which is very organic, earthy and physical.

Basic zils for beginners and adding props to your basic moves and combinsations.

In this workshop we will break down several basic slow movements and techniques from the FatChance BellyDance ATS vocabulary and put them into some fun combinations for you to take away and include in your dance.  Unwind after your gruelling weekend of dance and relax before travelling home.
